Dice Permentier: “Il video è stato girato in 16mm e abbandonato nei caveau per quasi 40 anni, io ho aggiunto l'audio dell'album al video per il singolo da 7" "Cats Eye" - che è stato pubblicato in Francia solo nel 1977 - e ho sincronizzato il filmato con il suono migliorato”.
Il nome Van
Der Graaf utilizzato in quel periodo rappresenta l’evoluzione dei Van der
Graaf Generator che, dopo la partenza di Hugh Banton (tastiere) e David
Jackson (sax), decisero di abbreviare il nome per sottolineare l'assenza di
una parte del nucleo base.
A dar man
forte ai due membri originali rimasti - Peter Hammill (chitarra e voce)
e Guy Evans (batteria) -, arrivarono Graham Smith (String Driven
Thing) al violino e Charles Dickie al violoncello.
Ma l’aspetto più interessante relativo alla formazione è probabilmente il ritorno di Nic Potter al basso, che aveva già suonato con la band dal 1969-70.

Il brano fa parte dell’album “The
quiet zone/The pleasure dome”, l'ottavo in studio dei Van der Graaf
Generator. È l'ultimo album registrato dal gruppo prima della riunione del
2005.
La formazione propone il ritorno del
bassista originale del gruppo Nic Potter, che aveva lasciato la band nel 1970,
ed è presente anche il violinista Graham Smith, proveniente dagli String Driven
Thing. Invece non ci sono più David Jackson (eccetto che per due
collaborazioni) e Hugh Banton.
Ufficialmente, il nome della band
viene accorciato in "Van der Graaf" per questo album e per il
successivo “Vital”, ma allo stesso tempo la Charisma usa entrambi i nomi
per il proprio materiale pubblicitario.
